Medication issues in the ER

Medication issues in the ER

Message par Charles » 25 Avr 2018, 06:43

Hello,

I was in the ER last week for a exaserbation-lower back radiating down my left leg. I was given an IV steroid, Toridol and 5mg Valium and that's all. When I questioned why they weren't giving me anything for pain, the PA said that its "policy" that NO IV pain meds are to be given to chronic pain patients. What?!?!? I've been in before (2+ years ago) and was given several rounds of IV Delaudid along with the above listed meds. So, I ended up leaving in the same pain I went in with AND a medical bill....!!

Has anyone else had similar issues in the ER??
Please help.

I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
